Mafalda pinto

Mafalda is a Chartered Civil Engineer specialized in the wastewater and sanitation industry. Having worked in research and engineering consultancy in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, she has also been collaborating with Manavta since 2013.

Having expertise in low cost and low technology solutions for sanitation, Mafalda has assisted on the preparation and review of Manavta's toilet designs and all things related with nutrient reuse.

Hafiz mitha

Hafiz is the Founder of the PlayCity app which connects people through physical activity and community engagement. He has a lengthy history with Manavta, contributing to their social media, attending events as well as visiting Nepal in 2015.

Hafiz also cofounded Katipult, a global white-label crowdfunding software company in which he focused his efforts on customer growth and on boarding.

Justin dharamdial

Justin practices corporate law in Toronto, where he advises companies and board of directors on a variety of corporate transactions, including advising non-profit corporations on general corporate matters.

He first met co-founder Nabeel in elementary school in Calgary and they reconnected after learning about Manavta on social media. As an advocate for safe sanitation and water, he is excited to lend his legal skills to assist with the Manavta teams endeavour.

Sterling lawrence

Sterling is a born-and-raised Edmontonian who embraces the entrepreneurial spirit of the city. Prior to starting Lawrence Law, Sterling worked in the Tax group at a large international law firm.

Sterling carries on a general solicitors practice, with a focus on tax law, business law, and wills and estates. Although he mostly concentrates on corporate work, Sterling has also represented individuals in disputed matters with the Canada Revenue Agency. In his spare time, Sterling is passionate about sports and the local arts scene.
