I have a loo, you probably do too,
but for billions there’s no place to poo.

"The lack of cleanliness can take our lives." -Charimaya Majhi, Jholunge, Nepal
No toilet means a lack of education for girls, dignity for women and dirty water contributing to diseases that claim the lives of almost 800 children everyday - one every two minutes! (UNICEF, 2018)
Project #2 - Project Kalika Phase One (2,183.86 CAD)
More than 60% of schools in Nepal do not have girl-friendly toilets that are private, clean, and usable. (UNICEF Nepal, 2021). We've partnered with the Karnali Public Health School and Kalika Primary School, in Tatopani, Jumla, with the goal of accomplishing the following:
Replace broken squat pans and repair existing toilets so students have safe, functional facilities.
Install a reliable water delivery system to end the unsafe practice of storing drinking water in an open garbage-bin drum.
Provide hygiene and sanitation education— personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, handwashing, and sanitation practices—for students and staff, in partnership with trainers from KAHS, on November 24–25, to create lasting behavior change.
