Project Kalika partnered with the local community to build safe, accessible sanitation facilities and provide WASH education. We are currently fundraising to install a sustainable, economical biosand filter and continue hygiene programs with the broader Tatopani Rural Municipality.

Project Namuna in Jumla District established safe sanitation facilities at Namuna School, providing students with reliable access to clean toilets. Our work remains ongoing, with continued WASH education, health programs, and maintenance support to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

In 2013, Manavta launched its pilot project in Lauke village, Nuwakot, constructing safe sanitation facilities at Shree Ram Janaki Primary School with the support of community volunteers and partners. The initiative improved hygiene, health, and access to proper toilet facilities for students and local residents.

January-March 2013

In the aftermath of the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, Manavta mobilized to Jholunge village in Sindhupalchowk to support communities rebuilding after the disaster. The team introduced urine-diverting toilets to local households and delivered WASH education at Suryoda Primary School, laying the foundation for an innovative, community-driven approach to sustainable sanitation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Manavta supported vulnerable communities in Western Nepal by distributing food, hygiene supplies, and health information to promote safety and resilience.
